2:30-4:00 p.m.-Middle & high schoolers learn to build a rover and build with straws & connectors.

MEP celebrated Black History Month in southern Arizona at the Sierra Vista Dreamers Program

Speaker: Dr. Randall Roy, Orthopedic Surgeon, Sierra Vista, AZ
Speaker: Benjamin Frazier, History Maker in Congressional Debate, won over 40 medals, plaques and awards in the last two years of high school. Ben is a senior at the University of Iowa and in the Iowa National Guard.
A forum will be held in the morning with different STEM professionals.

Different groups shared their information during a cultural heritage evening.

The 2nd Motivational speaker Ben Frazier with youth.
Ben shared his disinterest in academics in middle school and how joining debate in high school helped him to focus and excel to become 8th in the United States in Congressional debate as a senior in high school.

On Saturday, February 27, the West Side Missionary Baptist Church hosted exhibit and STEM forum. Dr. Pearl Jefferson, MEP Southern Director, had several guests. The first was Mr. Stepnany, of Stepnany Bros Auto Body Inc. He is from St. Louis and shared how he started his company as a young man right out of high school.
